SBB/3/95 Contribution in Kind

The National Bank of Ethiopia has issued Directive No. SBB/3/95, which allows for contributions in kind, such as buildings and vehicles, to be considered as capital contributions, but with certain valuation and percentage limitations. These contributions in kind cannot be used to fulfill minimum required capital and are limited to 25% of paid-up capital in excess of the minimum requirement.
